Here are all the things you need to check when getting your Facebook connections set up with Preflect, to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Have admin permissions for the account, you’ll need this to have proper access to your Facebook business manager and to send us the admin invite.
Check your account quality & resolve any outstanding account issues.
Having disabled/restricted assets negatively impacts your account health which puts your account at high risk for being banned altogether. FB doesn’t always give prior notification before doing this and banned accounts cannot be recovered.
Verify that the Page, IG account, Pixel & Domain are all owned by the business manager we’re using to run your ads:
Click on Accounts-> Page to verify you have a Page added and who owns it. If you’re missing a Page, click here for a guide on how to add one to your business manager.
Click on Accounts-> Instagram accounts to make sure your page is connected, if a login button appears, click it and log in again. If the IG account you want to run ads for isn’t connected, here’s a guide to add and pair it with your Facebook business manager.
Click on Data Source-> Pixels to check your pixel is added, active (should be green) and matches the pixel on your website. If using a new pixel, FB requires several weeks of activity before you can share the pixel with another bm. Verify that your pixel isn’t maxed out on partner sharing by clicking on the partners button in this section. Meta may max out the number of business managers that can share a pixel as a partner based on how much non-policy violation ad spend history your account has. While the exact number isn’t always clear, it’s best to keep 3 or fewer partners per pixel.
Click on Brand Safety-> Domains to check if your domain is added & verified. Here’s a help guide to add and verify your domain.
Click on Security Center to add 2FA verification and more security features that are highly recommended.
Click on Business Info-> Edit Info button at the top to add your Primary Page. Start typing the name and info will auto-populate so you can select your page. Filling in your business details if you haven’t done so already.
*Ensuring assets are correctly added to the business manager and website is a merchant's responsibility (this includes but is not limited to: assigning ownership to necessary assets, verifications required by Meta, appealing disabled/restricted assets, etc.). We can only contact Meta support about assets we have full admin access to or own.
