Want to reach iOS 14.5+ shoppers with your Instagram and Facebook ads? Meta requires that you verify your domain first. Their guide isn't specific to Shopify, so we wrote this Shopify-specific guide to help you easily verify your Shopify domain for Facebook Ads.
To get started, use your computer to open Domains in Facebook Business Manager, as well as your store admin page in Shopify. Then follow these steps:
On the domains page, click the blue "Add" button. A popup titled "Add a domain" will appear (see image below). Enter your website's domain name (do not include www.), then click "Add."
Ensure that "Add a meta-tag to your HTML source code" is selected. Then, copy the full meta-tag.
In your Shopify account, click on "Themes" under "Online Store". You can also search "Themes" in Shopify's Search bar.
On your current theme, click the "Actions" dropdown, then click "Edit code".
If you aren't already on the "theme.liquid" file, then navigate to it using the left menu bar. Paste the meta-tag you copied into the empty area right below the <head> tag. Then click "Save."
Finally, click "Verify domain" in Facebook, and you're all set! Facebook will verify that your setup was successful within 72 hours.
